Conference venues
The first day of the conference takes place at the University of Tartu main building (Ülikooli 18, Tartu). The second day takes place at the adjacent building, Ülikooli 16. On both days, lunch is served in the University Cafe restaurant (20 metres from the University main building, Ülikooli 20, Tartu).
How to get there
Tallinn airport (http://www.tallinn-airport.ee/eng/) is the main airport in Estonia and is served by some low cost airlines as well as bigger carriers. While in Tallinn you might like to visit the medieval old town, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Tartu is 185 km from Tallinn. There is a very good bus connection between the two cities. Buses run from 07:00 to 23:00 and take up to 2.5 hours. The buses stop at Tallinn airport near the lower exit (5 minutes after each full hour, see http://www.tallinn-airport.ee/eng/traveller/terminalmap). The tickets cost (depending on class and departure time) 10-15 €. You can buy a ticket in advance on-line http://www.tpilet.ee/en/timetable/tallinn/tartu?, from a ticket machine by the lower entrance, or with cash on the bus. NB! If you are planning to arrive at the airport later than 23:00, please contact the Airport Shuttle bus (http://www.tartaline.ee/airport-shuttle-eng), which takes you to Tartu (pre-order necessary).
Tartu Airport has connections only with Helsinki (operated by Finnair). The easiest way to get into Tartu from the airport is with the Airport Shuttle, which leaves approximately 15 minutes after the arrival of the flight. The shuttle will drop you off anywhere in Tartu.
Another (less convenient, but perhaps with more connections) option is Riga airport (http://www.riga-airport.com/), 250 km from Tartu. Buses go from Riga to Tartu four times a day and the journey takes about 4 hours (https://ticket.luxexpress.eu/en/).
It is also possible to travel from St Petersburg to Tartu by bus (see: http://www.luxexpress.eu/ru).
